For Licensed Clinical Social Workers:  
 
Effective July 1, 2009, if you graduate after July 1, 2009, you will be required to obtain a social work license (LSW) before you begin the supervision and experience requirement necessary for licensure as a clinical social worker.
 
Effective July 1, 2009, applicants seeking licensure as a clinical social worker  will now only need two (2) years post-degree full-time work experience (3000) hours and supervision (100 hours by an LCSW) prior to applying for licensure as a clinical social worker (LCSW).

License Renewal Information:   

The next renewal date is April 1, 2010.

License renewals are even-numbered years.
Renewal information will be mailed to the address you have on file with the

Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA)  on approximately February 1, 2010.
Renewal information will not be forwarded.

Licensing Preparation 

NASW-IN is offering a social work licensure exam preparation course on Friday, November 20, 2009 and Saturday, November 21, 2009 from 8am to 5pm each day.  Registration begins at 7:30.  This class will be conducted at Indiana University Northwest in Gary, IN.
